BPW of Lower Cape Cod Offers $1000 Scholarship

The Business and Professional Women (BPW) of Lower Cape Cod, a local
chapter of Business and Professional Women, are pleased to announce that they
are now accepting applications for a $1000 scholarship to be awarded in June
2010 to a woman living on Lower or Outer Cape Cod, who is pursuing
training and education leading to career advancement, either in their present or
towards a new profession or business. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree or
certificate program, and must submit a detail of course program, schedule
and goals, including completion criteria. Candidates must also be residents of the Lower or Outer
Cape for at least 2 years, must demonstrate financial need, and be a woman at least
21 years of age. Potential
candidates can request an application by calling Nicole Dursi at (774) 368-0373,
emailing her at nicoledursi@myibocs.com or by sending a self-addressed, stamped
envelope to Nicole Dursi, BPW Scholarship Committee, 30 Driftwood Lane, Harwich,
Massachusetts 02645. All
applications must be received by April 15, 2010.
Business and Professional Women is an organization for working women. Its mission is to achieve equality for all women in the workplace through
advocacy, education and information.
In order to realize this mission, BPW must take the lead on equity issues for
women in workplace. The Lower Cape Cod chapter meets on the second Tuesday of the
month from September through June. If you

1. Candidate must live on the Lower or Outer Cape for a minimum of two (2)
years.
2. Candidate must be currently enrolled in a degree program or a certificate
program
3. Candidate should include a statement of financial need in their cover letter
4. Candidate must be a female at least 21 years of age.
5. Candidate must provide detail of course program, schedule and goals,
including completion criteria.
