The Business and Professional Women of Lower Cape Cod will be awarding a $1000 scholarship in June 2009. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize local women as they obtain training and education leading to career advancement, either in their present profession or business, or to their endeavor toward a new profession or business.

The vision of Business and Professional Women is derived from and driven by our mission: equity for all women in the workplace. To realize this mission, BPW leads through advocacy, education and information. With a strong, rich tradition on which to build, and the commitment of BPW leaders and working women nationwide, we are making our vision a reality.

Please complete this application and provide a cover letter briefly explaining why you should receive this scholarship, addressing the candidate criteria specified below. Candidates enrolled in advanced degree programs are also encouraged to apply.

Candidate Criteria:
     1. Candidate must live on the Lower or Outer Cape for a minimum of two (2) years.
     2. Candidate must be currently enrolled in a degree program or a certificate program
     3. Candidate should include a statement of financial need in their cover letter
     4. Candidate must be a female at least 21 years of age.
     5. Candidate must provide detail of course program, schedule and goals, including completion criteria.
